My name is Marimar Hollenbach, but my friends call me Mar (and High is my maiden name–hence Mar High). I’m a Mexican-American user interface designer based in Berlin, Germany.

After three years working as a frontend developer, I pivoted into a UI designer role. My experience in the technical implementation of web design has helped me understand both the medium (HTML, CSS, & JavaScript), as well as how to collaborate with engineers. I’ve implemented several modern workflows to help small start-ups and large companies transition into a scalable design systems approach for their digital products. I like to focus on solving challenges at the early stages in the design process.

Besides my professional work I occasionally produce digital art workshops and events.

I am always seeking interesting projects, mentors and co-conspirators. If you would like to work with me, get in touch! hello[at]
